Barcelona, 1976. Director of the Fundació Teatre Lliure – Teatre Públic de Barcelona. International artistic advisor of Teatro della Pergola – Fondazione della Toscana. Co-founder and member of the Director’s Lab of Mediterranean Steering Committee. He has a degree in Dramatic Art from the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona and a postgraduate in Design of Cultural Projects from the University of Barcelona. He obtained a scholarship to study at the Scuola Europea per l’Art dell’Attore in Pisa and did an Erasmus in 2004 to study at the Rose Bruford College of London. In 2005 he studied at the Obrador Internacional of Sala Beckett with José Sanchis Sinisterra and Martin Crimp. The same year he was chosen by Lluís Pascual’s BAT project at the Bilbao Arriaga Teatroa and in 2006 he was part of the Factoria Escènica Internacional platform promoted by Carme Portaceli. He worked as an assistant director to Lluís Pascual from 2010 to 2012 at the Piccolo Teatro di Milano. He is a member of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab, New York, since 2013. From 2015 until 2017 he was part of the Teatre Lliure artistic management team. Between 2017 and 2018 he has also been a teacher in Florence at the Scuola di formazione del mestiere dell’attore L’Oltrarno directed by Pierfrancesco Favino. In 2014, Moby Dick, un viatge pel teatre won the Butaca Theater Award for best show for a family audience.
