The Mediterranean: Stage of Culture

Monday July 15—Wednesday July 24, 2019 at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon

In its inaugural year, DLM was launched on Monday July 15 at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon and closed on July 24, 2019. Hosted by the AUB Theater Initiative and Fine Arts and Art History Department, this first edition brought together 17 emerging and mid-career stage directors from the U.S., Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Greece, Jordan, Lithuania, Serbia, Mexico and Russia in a fascinating 10 days program that included workshops, shared sessions, rehearsals and discussions with major guest artists from around the Mediterranean.
